Set-up time greatly affects the product cost. Improvement made to our set-ups will improve performance, costs and revenue. Project objectives: Several opportunities for improvement can be made to improve on set-up times and/or efficiency. Costs for the time spent setting up jobs greatly affects the overall cost of the part. More efficient change over of setups, improved methods and standardization practices should be made to provide proper work flow and improved cost. Setups should be done quickly and accurately and provide an adequate first piece yield, by all set-up operators.
